Another month older.

Our little girl is 16 months today!

{23 pounds 12 ounces}

Where does the time go? She's definitely losing signs of 'baby' and becoming more and more of a sweet little toddler.
Actually, as I type about how sweet she is, she's sitting on my lap sobbing because Olivia won"t share her slinky. Oh, the drama!

Normally, her and her sister get along so well. Olivia loves her sister and loves taking care of her. She definitely plays "mom" to her. Sometimes a little to much. Norah usually doesn't mind though. She adores her. If Olivia is gone, Norah walks around saying "Sissy? Sissy?" When Olivia was sick puking last week, Norah would sit outside the bathroom door crying because she wanted to be with her. When she was with her, she'd rub her back for her while she cried. How sweet is this girl? Seriously.

She's really developing her own little personality these days. Since getting tubes she has finally started saying more words. She still has a short list compared to what her sister was saying at this age but it is growing on a weekly basis. Sometimes I swear it's on a daily basis! She says all the basics: mama and dada (though she usually just calls us 'mom' and 'dad' which cracks me up), sissy, dow (down), done, ba (bath), num nums, dee (drink), nigh nigh, sit dowwww (sit down), and her new one that she says that makes me laugh is "ohhhhh mannnnn!"

She's super smart. She runs and grabs the dust pan for me when I sweep, and when she's hungry she goes to her high chair and says "num num?" and then while I'm setting her highchair up she goes and gets the tray out for me. I love how she does things on command. If you ask her to go throw her diaper away, she does. Ask her to go get a diaper from her bedroom, she does. My favorite thing is her nap/bedtime routine. Once she see's her milk come out of the microwave and I say "You ready for nigh nigh?" She runs down the hall to her bedroom, pushes the button to turn on her fan, and crawls up into the chair I rock her in and waits for me. haha! I've never seen a kid who's always so happy to go to sleep!

This little girl has changed the dynamics of our family and blessed us in so many ways. I am so blessed to be able to hold her and say that I am her mommy. <3

Teething and colds and puking, Oh my!

I really feel like watching the Wizard of Oz today. To bad that won't even be happening. Norah suddenly came down with a cold yesterday. I have seriously never seen so much snot coming out of her nose. Awesome image in your head right now, right? Oh wait, it gets better. When I wasn't up with her all night, I was cleaning up the puke that Olivia was launching all night long. Seriously, nights like that make me wanna take my own uterus out. Okay, not really. Another baby would definitely be welcome in this house, but wooh, last night was really lame!

On top of having a cold, poor miss Norah is teething. She only has 4 teeth right now but soon (hopefully sooner rather than later) she'll go from 4 teeth to 8 teeth. She's getting 4 newbies on top! She's quite the miserable little lady, which in turn has made her put on a giant pair of grumpy pants.

While the kids are mildly contained, I'm sitting at the table with a book infront of me. I wish it was "The Lucky One". But, no no, it's even better than that. It's called the book of giant medical bills. Yee-haw!! Another thing that makes me remove a body part. Paying bills make me wanna poke my eyeballs out.

This is sort of a violent post. Maybe I should rate it PG13 or something. Warn someone.

I do have some super fun projects coming up. When our house is normal. Or, healthy anyways. I doubt we'll ever be normal. I printed a 20x30 image of Olivia and Norah for their room (drooool) and I have some projects for my own room that I can't wait to do too! Also, next week, the girls and my mom and I are all driving to Kennewick for a few days to visit my fabulous friend, Annelee, and her family. I'm going to be doing their family pictures and I can't wait! :)
